Fourteen years on, we remember today, the life of Blantyre teenager Reamonn Gormley.
Today, 1st February 2025, is the 14th anniversary of when his young life was tragically taken at the age of just 19. A victim of crime, he was an avid Celtic supporter, kind, gentle and popular.
His passing shocked our entire community to the core and to this day, he is fondly remembered by many people well beyond his circle of family and friends.
A keen volunteer, Reamonn had travelled to Thailand during his gap year, where notably he taught Thai children English by singing them Celtic songs. He was always thinking of others and his memory lives on strongly within Blantyre’s entire community. His short life impacted so many people for the better.
Thinking of his family and friends today and as always Reamonn, “You’ll Never Walk Alone.”

Such a tragedy a lovely young man.
