Cold Temperatures Persist Despite Sunshine in Scotland

A ridge of High Pressure has arrived in Scotland which should see prolonged sunshine over the next few days. But it’s not ‘taps aff’ for temperatures will struggle to get to 5 to 6 degrees. Tomorrow, Thursday will see any patchy low cloud and fog lift early leaving a dry day with plenty of winter sunshine. It will continue chilly.

Outlook for Friday to Sunday

Friday will remain dry with some early patches of cloud and mist and fog. Skies will then mostly clear in the afternoon, with just a few spots of lingering cloud. Temperatures at night will be below freezing. Saturday will be dry with variable cloud cover and a few bright spells, as well as a chance of a shower early on, wintry over hills. Sunday will be mostly bright and dry, with a few patches of cloud.
