A huge well done to the caring 3 volunteers who braved cold temperatures yesterday in Blantyre and went out to clean up the ‘Dandy’ area.
13 full bags of rubbish were collected by just those 3 people. A lot of irresponsible dog owners appear to be throwing their green, pink, blue and black poo bags down the embankment, a paw patrol umbrella, a purple and a white laundry basket, some paint brushes with paint tray and the usual cans and bottles. Disgusting!
To the people dropping the litter….Please, please, please look after your community!!! We shouldn’t have to relying on hard working people giving up their weekends to tidy up!
Appreciated some litter could have blown into woodland in recent storms, but if that wasn’t the case……It doesn’t take a lot to take your litter home. If we can all just do a little bit, we can make it nicer for everyone. Well done Hamilton and Blantyre Litterpickers.
