How utterly disgusted we were to hear of a criminal act at David Livingstone Centre Birthplace, where a group left the cafe without paying for their breakfasts.
The charitable organisation at Station Road, Blantyre was left shocked and their staff upset after the group of people ordered double breakfasts then deliberately made off without paying.
This happened on Sunday. A spokesperson told us, “Just to warn other cafes in the local area to be very careful – as a small independent charity a loss like this hurts – especially at this time of the year.”
Staff have CCTV footage and handed it over to police.
