A huge Congratulations to local girl, Isabella Kusz.
Auchainraith Primary School pupil, Isabella (aged 7), had the pleasure of cutting the ribbon and officially opening the brand new LIDL store, earlier today, Thursday 13th February 25.
It was an early start for the family with Isabella being first in line, having been up even before sunrise to ensure a first place in the queue!
Her proud dad, told Blantyre Telegraph, “Since the new shop started getting built, Isabella said she wanted to be the first customer and I promised her she would be! For months she’s been reminding me that I promised she’d be the first customer and hasn’t let me forget it, even reminding me last night that I had to get up early today to be first in the queue.”
Isabella got to keep the ribbon she cut and took it to school today to show off her “trophy”. She was so chuffed!
Darren added, “With her is her big sister Millie, pictured here waiting patiently at the door. I’ve never known kids to be so excited about the opening of a supermarket in my life! Made their day!”
