Exciting new plans have been revealed for a landmark sculpture marking the Scotland-England border.
Revised proposals have been submitted for the Star of Caledonia, a striking artwork set to be built near Gretna Green and visible from major roads linking the two nations.
Originally designed by Cecil Balmond OBE and chosen over a decade ago, the project has yet to break ground. The updated plans feature a slightly smaller version of the star and include a visitor centre. With an estimated cost of £10 million, the landmark aims to draw up to 250,000 visitors annually.
