Calderside Academy are thrilled to announce that their S3 team has made it to the final of the Future Asset competition, which takes place in Edinburgh on Friday, 7 March!
Last year was the first time the school reached the final—and they won! This year, they’re hoping to defend their title as reigning champions.
Miss Burns, Acting PT Pupil Support teacher told us, “Competing in the Junior Category for girls in S3 and S4, our incredible team members Ellie McCulloch, Daisy Drysdale, Emma Davies, Poppy McCall, and Katie Armstrong, supported by teacher Rebecca Burns, have worked tirelessly on their entry.”
“As part of the challenge, they selected Xylem from a company crib sheet and produced a comprehensive report, including SWOT analysis, financial data, ESG factors, and share price insights, along with a three-minute elevator pitch video.”
Out of 147 entries, only four teams made it to the final. The Calderside Academy team will be competing against:
Mearns Castle High School – Palo Alto Networks
Oban High School – Novo Nordisk
St George’s School – Nvidia
The school is naturally incredibly proud of their students for this achievement and can’t wait to see them in action at the final! Good luck!
