Five Years Since the UK Lockdown: A Reflective Look

It’s exactly HALF A DECADE to the day since Boris Johnson announced the first UK lockdown on 23 March 2020 in a televised address to the nation.

The scale of the announcement could never have been imagined. He instructed all UK citizens to stay at home, only leaving for essential purposes such as shopping for necessities, medical needs, or one form of daily exercise. The lockdown was implemented to curb the spread of COVID-19.

It was shocking and if we’re honest, at the time just a little frightening for most people. One of those moments you’ll remember where you were when it happened. It changed the world, how we worked, who we did business, and affected all manner of things in our lives. What’s your memories of lockdown?
