Today, we’re launching our Spring and Summer appeal to help raise much needed new computers at Calderside Academy, Blantyre.
Calderside Academy, a secondary school in Blantyre, South Lanarkshire is in urgent need of new Computers to be used by all pupils. To assist the PTA and address funding, Blantyre Telegraph has sourced an amazing deal to buy quality, fast, brand new Chromebooks.
We’re calling on local businesses, organisations and individuals to do what Blantyre does best with YOUR help in fundraising to buy as many computers as possible.
If YOU have a child at Calderside, this affects them. At a time of severe Council cuts, this fundraiser is important to help ensure pupils from S1 to S6 have access to the computing equipment they deserve and need. All donations go entirely to the School.

This is a campaign we’re running until August 2025 and we’ll buy the computers throughout it, rather than waiting until the end. It would be wonderful to ensure pupils at the school don’t have to share laptops in their computing lessons.
