Scotland has basked in its warmest day of the year so far, with temperatures hitting 22.7°C in Aboyne, Aberdeenshire. This new high surpasses the previous record of 20.9°C, recorded in Tyndrum on 8 April.
Despite the sunshine, the clear skies have brought chilly nights. Aboyne saw a frosty low of -3.2°C overnight – the coldest in Scotland – before soaring to become the warmest spot during the day.
Make the most of the glorious weather while it lasts – showery conditions are expected to return next week.
