We’re hugely shocked and saddened tonight to learn of the sudden, unexpected passing of Blantyre Live Chat Group moderator, local man Andrew MacFadyen.
Andrew sadly passed away peacefully at his home in Blantyre on Thursday 10th April 2025 and will be much missed by his loving family and friends. Andrew volunteered on Live Chat, giving up his time for no reward and through his dedication and efforts in that community group, helped keep the online space safe, friendly and informative for several years. On behalf of ourselves and the other Live Chat moderators, we pass on our sympathies to all his family at this sad time.
As a mark of respect, Blantyre Live Chat Group will be closed for one full day with immediate effect for 24 hours. Rest in Peace Andrew.
