Local business Gas Certification Company Ltd, has been nominated in the Lanarkshire Business Excellence Awards!
The gas and energy renewable training and assessment centre based in High Blantyre, are thrilled to have been selected as a finalist in their category of Best Business (0-10 employees).
Speaking about the Managing Director Andy McNab, Business Support Manager Louise Smith says “We submitted this application on behalf of the business owner because we truly believe he and the company deserves recognition for the incredible work he does—much of which he sees as simply “part of the job.”
“From his tireless efforts to develop and support the next generation of skilled workers, to the charitable initiatives he takes on without seeking praise, he consistently goes above and beyond. He’s deeply committed to the future of the gas industry, particularly at a time when it’s facing a critical skills gap, with around 50% of engineers expected to retire within the next 10 years. His dedication to evolving the industry and mentoring young professionals is not only inspiring, but essential to its survival. He doesn’t seek the spotlight, but I believe it’s time his work and impact are properly acknowledged.”
