Tragic Carbon Monoxide Poisoning Claims Scottish Couple

Police have confirmed that Scottish couple, Adele Tait, 47, and her partner Craig Will, 55, died from carbon monoxide poisoning.

The couple had been camping together on the shores of Loch Awe, near Dalmally in Argyll. It’s understood the pair headed for a wild camping trip on May 30 but there had not been in contact with loved ones since May 31.

Attempts to contact them went unanswered and they were expected home on 5th June. Frantic family had contacted police. The grim discovery of both their bodies was found on 7th June.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 4.25pm on Saturday, June 7 2025, a 55-year-old man and 47-year-old woman were found deceased within a tent on the east side of Loch Awe, Dalmally, Argyll & Bute.

“Their deaths are not being treated as suspicious. A report was submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”

Our sympathies go out to the couples family and friends at this sad time.
