A Met Office-issued yellow weather warning is in place from midnight to 6pm for much of the country on Saturday, June 14.
Heavy showers and thunderstorms are forecast to develop across Glasgow, North Lanarkshire, South Lanarkshire, Renfrewshire, East Renfrewshire, East Dunbartonshire, and West Dunbartonshire.
Widespread flooding is predicted which may affect travel.
