The temperature is up in the 20s, the weather fine and the first bands and musical artists are now up on stage at David Livingstone Centre this afternoon! It’s been great today to see another well organised, outdoor music event taking place in Blantyre.
The Blantyre Music Festival is underway with people now taking up their outdoor space for a full afternoon and evening of local talented musicians. The bar is now open and the cafe serving takeaway food. With kids fair rides, faceprinting, the Playpark, ice cream kiosk and walks by the Clyde, there’s plenty to do and see.
Not forgetting the museum itself open for tours and of course a fantastic indoor and outdoor market.
The event is underway and open now, until 8pm tonight, Saturday 23rd August. It’s been great chatting with everybody so far. Come up and say hi!
