An incoming pair of solar storms will bring northern lights to latitudes as far south as the middle of England on Monday night, according to the latest forecasts, with excellent chances to see them in Scotland.
The UK Met Office forecasts northern lights as far south as East Anglia and the Midlands tonight, Monday, 1 September, through to Wednesday, 3 September, 2025.
All we need are clear skies!
The Met Office commented, “A fast-moving coronal mass ejection (CME) that departed the Sun late on 30 August is forecast to arrive at Earth late on 1 September or early on 2 September,” the weather agency stated.”
