South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture (SLLC) has launched a public consultation which seeks feedback on the use and capacity of our indoor lettable community and school spaces, along with a proposed pricing structure designed to better reflect the operational costs needed to sustain them.
They told us, “We recognise the vital contribution community and school halls make towards our vision for healthier, happier, more connected lives by bringing people together, improving health and wellbeing, and strengthening community ties.”
“We have unfortunately withdrawn from 42 halls in recent years. In order to help prevent further withdrawals in our localities, our current pricing model needs to change to one that is more financially sustainable.
SLLC warmly invites you to take part in our consultation to help shape the future of these important spaces. Please note that this consultation does not include pitches.
Our Sustaining the future of local community and school halls survey is available to complete online. The survey will close at 11.45pm on Sunday 26 October 2025. https://forms.office.com/pages/responsepage.aspx?id=8TGC01xhSUezI9x8etXuusPlYfwc_K1MuXWd5lIM_kVURUg5MTdIWFhTM1dNQzE3NlpZNDBaTExHRC4u&route=shorturl
This is one part of our wider consultation process. We will soon invite customers to engage with us further at a drop-in event to be scheduled later this year. Details will be made available in due course on our dedicated consultation webpage – https://www.slleisureandculture.co.uk/news/article/4890/community_and_school_halls_consultation_202526
