Exciting changes are coming to the heart of East Kilbride — and we want you to be part of the conversation.
Drop-in Public Consultation Session
Thursday 30 October
3pm – 7pm
East Kilbride Central Library
South Lanarkshire Council is inviting residents to view the Masterplan that aims to radically transform East Kilbride’s town centre — making it a vibrant, modern space for living, working, shopping and socialising.
What’s proposed?
Up to 400 new homes in a town centre neighbourhood
A brand-new Civic Hub and civic square
A food supermarket as an anchor retailer
A new hotel and transformed entrance points
A 42% reduction in retail floorspace to reflect changing shopping habits
Councillor Joe Fagan, Leader of South Lanarkshire Council, said:
“This public consultation session will allow local people to come along and see what is proposed and form their own opinions of how it could transform the heart of their town.”
This is your chance to help shape the future of East Kilbride — a town centre designed for the community, by the community.
No booking required — just drop in!
