We were absolutely delighted earlier this month to receive £360 donated by Blantyre Community Council towards our website hosting fees!
With Blantyre Telegraph being run for charity and all work put into our website, social media pages and groups by unpaid volunteers…. raising funds is always difficult and much needed. We have many readers both locally and around the world NOT on social media who rely visiting our main website each day to find out whats going on in Blantyre. Hosted by a third party, costs for hosting the site and domain have risen steadily over the last decade and with hosting renewals taking place this week, the donation was MOST appreciated, unexpected and sincerely welcomed.
The kindness from Blantyre Community Council providing this micro grant has directly helped the community with the whole donation being used to ensure continued service online. Nothing is retained. Thank you!
