Thinking of everybody in Jamaica just now as Hurricane Melissa makes landfall on the Caribbean Island.
The Category 5 hurricane with expected winds even stronger than Hurricane Katrina is one of the strongest hurricanes to hit the region in two centuries. It is forecast to cause catastrophic damage and appears to be moving very slowly.
Should keep an eye on this. Like so many this hurricane season, it is forecast to turn north by north east up the Atlantic. It MAY eventually reach you as a significant storm.
Fingers crossed for anyone in its path.
