This was the shocking scene at Blantyre Victoria Football Club’s stand this weekend, as it discovered vandals had set fire to the bespoke, supporters stand.
The deliberate fire damage to the Container seatings at the Vics ground appears to have been done deliberately according to the club. Police are being involved with an aim of finding those responsible.
The fire comes after youths have been spotted this week in nearby Stonefield Public Park setting fires there and in other public spaces. Mindless actions which are both reckless and dangerous.
George Fulston who is involved with the club, told us, “This is not the first time this sort of fire damage has been deliberately done. We now intend to involve Police to trace the culprits. My company 5seasons passed and gifted them to the Vics.”
