Planning officers in the Borders have advised that plans for Scotland’s first Center Parcs resort should be approved.
The £450m project near Hawick includes around 700 holiday lodges, newly formed lochs, nature trails, woodland areas, an indoor swimming complex, a spa, outdoor activity zones, shops and restaurants.
Around 40 local residents have lodged objections, raising concerns about the scale of the development on nearby farmland.
