Local residents are concerned to see a sudden rise in fly tipping on the outskirts of Blantyre.
The access and entrance to the former coal yard, just off Blantyre Farm Road is being used by unscrupulous individuals on a frequent basis to tip rubbish. Mainly builders rubbish, tiles wood, plaster and the like.
With the land privately owned, the owners may want to think about installing a bollard at the vacant land to prevent access, before they find themselves with a large clean up bill.
