ScotRail has issued a reminder to passengers about its Christmas and New Year timetable, warning that the final trains today, (Christmas Eve) and Hogmanay will depart earlier than usual.
As in previous years, no train services will operate on Christmas Day or New Year’s Day.
ScotRail has introduced extra services and increased seating capacity across the network, including additional late-night weekend trains on key routes and longer carriages. Passengers are being urged to plan ahead, as essential engineering work will take place on parts of the rail network over the festive period.
For those making their way home or doing final festive shopping, today Wednesday 24th December, this Christmas Eve, services will run as normal until around 7pm, after which timetables will begin to scale back.
