Ross told us, “My mum Elma McMenemy stayed in High Blantyre for 60 years, she passed away July 2023 aged 90. Missed by Ross, Julie, Elaine, Hugh and Douglas.”
Isobel added, “Lost my big sister Margaret miss her so much and sister in-law Ann Kane my mum dad“
Julie commented, “My wee mum Christine Mcgunningal first Christmas in heaven and we are missing her so much”
Tracey told us, “Margaret Shaw – She loved Christmas and would dress up each year for her grandkids as an elf, or Mrs Clause. She is sorely missed.”
Julie told us, “My parents Margaret & John Gillespie . Miss them so much, but there spending Christmas together again”
Jane said, “My dad, Charlie McGuigan passed away in April of this year. Love and miss him every day. My first Christmas without him”
Karen added, “My mum Anne Marie Muir, died 3rd December 2024. So sadly missed xx”
Robin said, “My late husband John Kane taken too soon forever 21 “
Kerry said, “My mum and brother god bless them”
Kirsty told us, “My mum & dad Robert & Agnes Miller love yous forever”
Dorothy added, “My son Steven think about him every day miss him so much x”
Steven added, “My daughter Kat, forever 27 my dad jimmy my mum Maureen and my brother James all taken too soon miss them every day never be forgotten”
Michael said, “My gran Maureen who sadly passed away on 5th December 2021 after having Covid. She was an absolute legend and she’s missed terribly by all her family”
Chloee said, “Liam Morrison, my big brother who was cruelly taken away from us at the age of 18, missed by many, forever in all of our hearts miss you so much bro xx”
Angela said, “Mum & Dad, Jan and John Kelly. Dad died in 2009 and Mum in 2022. Forever in our hearts”
Abby said, “Catherine (Cathy) Maxwell, my funny, cheeky and strong-willed Nana who passed away 19th of January 2025 remembered and loved every single day”
Abby said, “Michael Maxwell, the most caring and kind man, my Papa. Lost in 2016 and remembered dearly by us all every day, especially at Christmas as he was our very own Santa Clause”

It’s really easy. Simply upload a photo of the departed family member or friend you want featured in the comments (Don’t worry we can crop it), their full name and a short sentence about them, e.g who it’s from, why they’re missed etc. That’s it!
THEN, when we have 9 or more people, we’ll update the image and put up a new, respectful tribute post about them, honouring their lasting memory this festive season. We’ll be doing this throughout the Christmas holidays until Hogmanay and will try to include everybody. Place your comment…..
