Some breaking News. Emergency services are tackling a huge fire near the Revolver and House of Gods hotels in Glasgow. We hope everybody has been evacuated and are ok. Will try to find out more.
Fire was observed as early as 6.30pm this evening, Saturday 27th December with emergency services attending shortly after.
It is unknown at this time if anybody has been injured. We hope everybody has been evacuated and are oK.

* Update 20:24 The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) said that it was called to a “well-developed fire” on the fourth floor of the Revolver Hotel on Virginia Street. There are no reports of any injuries.
* Update 19:27 A statement from Glasgow City Council reads: “Due to a building fire, Glassford Street has been closed to all traffic between Ingram Street and Trongate. Road users are advised to avoid this area.”
* Update 19:19 Flames are being observed coming out the roof of the building near the House of Gods and Revolver Hotels. Major news outlets now have the story and will be in a position now to provide accurate updates to the exact location.
*Update 19:05 Social media comments indicating that the fire may be spreading to nearby properties. Emergency Services are on the scene. No update yet about the residents of the hotel and restaurant.
*Update 19:03 Eye witness reports suggesting the fire is at House of Gods Hotel and that the fire is particularly fierce.
