This afternoon, Friday 2nd January is expected to be cold and dry with plenty of wintry sunshine and just a few patches of cloud at times.
Tonight will continue cold, dry and clear, with just the odd patch of cloud developing from time to time. Saturday is expected to be another dry and bright day for Lanarkshire with wintry sunshine and little cloud cover. Continuing cold.
Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday
Turning colder. A cold and largely dry period through Sunday and into Monday, with crisp winter sunshine during the day and widespread frost overnight. Winds will ease by Monday. Tuesday looks to become increasingly cloudy from the west, with the risk of outbreaks of rain and for Lanarkshire, the possibility of this first snow of the year by the end of the day.
