South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture have confirmed the next part of their refurbishment programme is now complete at Blantyre Leisure Centre.
The gym and swimming pool will reopen from tomorrow, Monday, January 12, after completion of a programme of “transformational upgrade works”.
An SLLC announcement read: “The gym features brand-new cardio and resistance equipment, an improved free weights area and the new BOX12 Pod, while the pool changing village has been fully upgraded. Lockers now require a padlock.”
“Swimming lessons and Aquafit will resume from January 12, with group cycle classes returning soon. Due to the next phase of works, fitness classes will run at Jock Stein Centre from January 5 on a reduced programme, returning to Blantyre in February.”
