Local man, Connor Gaffney is taking part in a charity boxing match to raise as much funds as possible for diabetes research.
Taking part in the Ultra White Collar Boxing in Glasgow, this Sunday 22nd March, diabetes is something which he knows all too well about.
Both Connor and his younger brother have had to live with it. Connor for 24yrs and Shay for 8yrs which we’re told by the family, has been far from easy! Until you have lived with diabetes or loved and cared for someone living with it, it’s difficult to understand how serious this condition can be!
The family told us, “As well as donations, we;re looking to raise awareness of diabetes to save lives and make those living with and the many still to be diagnosed lives, that bit easier!”
