Many in the local community will be saddened to learn of the passing of Jean Blunn, a much loved former teacher at David Livingstone Memorial Primary School, who peacefully passed away at Duncraggan Care Home on Tuesday 31st March 2026, aged 91.
Jean taught and inspired generations of pupils over the years and will be warmly remembered for her kindness, patience and dedication in the classroom. Former pupils and colleagues alike will recognise the lasting difference she made to young lives across the area.
Her passing marks the loss of a respected teacher and a familiar face to many families connected with the school over the decades.
Deepest condolences are extended to Jean’s family and friends at this sad time.
Jean’s funeral service will take place at Linn Crematorium on Thursday 16th April 2026 at 12 noon, and all friends and family are respectfully invited to attend.
