Design concepts for how the new Buchanan Bus Station would look in Glasgow have been revealed.
Artists impressions of the new design include a multi storey circular building which would also include offices, shops and accommodation, right next to a vibrant new transport hub in the city centre.
New bridges would also give students direct elevated access to the nearby Glasgow Caledonian University.
George Gillespie, director for neighbourhoods, regeneration and sustainability at GCC, said: “The masterplan for the Buchanan Bus Station signposts the future development of this key city centre block, offering the chance to not only create a state of the art transport interchange, but also a mixed-use development that helps drive the future regeneration of Cowcaddens, Townhead and the wider city centre.”
Plans and indeed funding proposals are still being developed.
