The end of an era. The car park at New Cross Shopping Centre in Hamilton (pictured) will be permanently closed from midnight this Sunday, 31st May 2026.
The shopping centre has been closed since the end of April and the site forms a strategic part of the Hamilton Town Centre Masterplan.
A Council spokesperson added, “Council staff have concluded feasibility work as the first stage for delivery of future development proposals. Work is currently being instructed to take the building to the next stage of design development and demolition.”
Other alternative car parking options are available across the town centre.
