Jacob Naismith: Blantyre’s Boxing Gold Medal Hero

A fantastic achievement for a local lad from Blantyre. Priestfield Boxing have summed up this incredible achievement in their own words below:

Jacob Naismith, formerly of O’Neil’s Boxing Club, now boxes for Derry Matthews Boxing Club, Liverpool won the Gold Medal at the Four Nations Championships on Friday morning. A great tournament that seen, Scotland, England, Ireland & Wales all competing for the first time in over 20 years or so. Jacob boxing for England over both days and winning against Scotland and Wales to take the Gold Medal. 🥇

This Gold adds to a long list of incredible achievements in the Noble Art of Boxing for Jacob.

To top all this off, Jacob is a top lad in many ways, very humble, a great sense of humour and always giving support and advice to the younger ones in the gym just starting out on their journey.

Just incredible and a young man with a bright future ahead of him whatever path he takes, Boxer or Electrician as we hear he’s not a bad apprentice. 🤣🤣🥊
