Scottish Labour leader Anas Sarwar is to stand down to become a minister in Andy Burnham’s new government.
It means Sarwar would also have to leave the Scottish Parliament and his leader role taking up a seat in the House of Lords. It is thought that Prime Minister Burnham will appoint him as a business minister.
