Residents who were up and about early this morning will have noticed the power was off in particular areas of Blantyre following an unexpected power cut.
Some streets around Stonefield Road, Craig Street, Burnbrae Road and others closeby had no power around 5am. Scottish Power engineers were on site at Camelon Crescent this morning at 6am to attend to the fix, and reported that power was restored to all areas by 9am.
