A special evening was held last night in memory of local woman Lisa McMillan, bringing the community together to raise funds for the incredible work of The Beatson in Glasgow.
Taking place on Saturday 1st August at Blantyre Miners Welfare, this heartfelt charity night provided a brilliant mix of entertainment and generosity, all for a truly meaningful cause.
We were thrilled to donate prizes worth £160, including cinema and shopping vouchers.
Organiser Joanne Strachan told us, “Just wanted to thank you again for your support and donation it was truly appreciated. The evening was a wonderful success! We managed to raise £1,033.68 which will all go the Beatson”
A special shoutout goes out to James Macfarlane who also shaved his head on the night to raise more funds in Lisa’s memory! With thanks also to our Supporters Group, their subscriptions once again benefiting Blantyre’s community and local good causes directly. Well done to everybody involved!
