Heavy Rain has caused lots of flashflooding around the local area. Heavy downpours between 7 and 8pm in Lanarkshire, though great for the garden and filling back up rivers and lochs, have made driving conditions difficult.
Overhead thunder storms accompanying the rain could be heard, with the weather and sudden downpours strong enough to temporarily disrupt satellite phone and TV signals.
Tonight will see showers ease, leaving just a few lighter ones about. Around these, clear spells and areas of variable cloud.
