The leaves are still on the trees, it’s only October, but there’s already a little festive sparkle appearing in High Blantyre!
South Lanarkshire Council has been busy installing this year’s Christmas street lights along Main Street, getting things ready for the festive season.
With Halloween still to come, it might seem a little early for Christmas decorations, but the preparations are well underway! Residents may even notice a few of the lights temporarily illuminated tonight as testing takes place ahead of the big switch-on.
🎅 Blantyre’s Christmas street lights are scheduled to be switched on Saturday 14th November, when Main Street and Glasgow Road will officially get its festive glow.
🎄 What do you think, Blantyre? Too early for Christmas lights, or are you already looking forward to the festive season?
