Just look at the shocking state of Stonefield Public Park in Blantyre!
Residents in Blantyre have taken to messaging us this weekend angrily commenting on the senseless idiots who have churned up the park. With just two weeks to go until the town gathers for its annual Christmas Market and Festive Lights Switch On, this is the utter mess left behind by irresponsible individuals riding illegally across the grass in what looks like vehicle tyre or quad tracks.
Deep tyre tracks, churned-up mud and extensive damage to what should be a beautiful public green space for everyone to enjoy, right beside the children’s playpark.
With residents informing police, its hoped nearby CCTV can be accessed, or better still as happened in nearby towns the last few weeks, these vehicles get completely removed from owners.
Another resident told us, “No respect for their community or consideration for others and at the cost of rising council tax to fix. They have ruined a large section of the park. Muppets!”
This is a public space enjoyed by families, children, dog walkers and residents. Why should everyone else have to suffer because of such selfish behaviour?
