Support Calderside Academy’s Cash for Kids Challenge 2026

Calderside Academy is participating in the Cash for Kids Schools Challenge until June 12th, raising funds to support its students. Various activities will be held, including the Calderside 500 walking event on June 8th. Donations are welcomed, and the top three fundraising schools will receive additional awards.

Local Girl (8) dies after School Sports day

An eight-year-old girl tragically passed away following an incident during a school sports day in East Kilbride. After falling from her wheelchair, she initially received treatment but was later re-admitted and died. Police are investigating her death as unexplained, and support is being offered to the affected community.
