A couple of people have asked us why Greenhall Park in High Blantyre has an area taped off today, Friday 23 August 2019. There’s nothing sinister about this. It’s merely taped off as the strong, recent winds have made some tree branches unsafe overhead. The area to be avoided is adjacent to the car park.

Fly Tipping at Greenhall

Disappointing to see the latest blatant fly tipping at Greenhall, High Blantyre. This mess has been left beside the carpark over the weekend. Timber, plywood and drywall. Not any attempt to hide it or tip at a remote roadside. Just causally and mindlessly dumped in a public park, one of Blantyre’s most scenic areas. Idiots.

Greenhall Murder Enquiry

Police have confirmed that Polish National Rafal Michal Lyko, was indeed killed deliberatley and as such a murder inquiry has been launched. Rafal’s body was found in a car after it went up in flames in Greenhall Park in High Blantyre, South Lanarkshire.
