Janette Downie, a local woman born in 1963, passed away on February 28, 2026, at the age of 62. Her daughters, Kirsty and Charlene, announced her funeral on March 19 at Blantyre Old Parish Church, followed by cremation at South Lanarkshire Crematorium.
