The M74 motorway is closed northbound at junction 7 due to a crash involving a car and a motorbike, reported at 10.35am on September 10, 2025. Emergency services are on the scene, and the motorcycle rider has been hospitalized. Motorists are urged to avoid the area if possible.
Essential repairs at Clyde Bridge, Motherwell will lead to a temporary closure of the southbound off slip at Junction 6 of the M74 and lane one of the A723 for four weeks from 20 July to 17 August. A signed diversion will direct traffic to Junction 7 and back. Night closures are scheduled for the setup.
