Margaret O’Donnell, a beloved member of the Blantyre community, passed away on February 3rd at 71. Living at a supported facility for 26 years, she cherished friendships, enjoyed music, and participated in various community activities. Her sister Jo expressed gratitude for the support Margaret received, emphasizing the profound loss felt by family and friends.
We mourn the loss of Margaret Byres, a local woman who has passed away. Her funeral is scheduled for Tuesday, July 8th, 2025, at 2pm at South Lanarkshire Crematorium. Our thoughts are with her husband Jackie, who is unwell, and we extend our condolences to Margaret’s family during this difficult time.

Local woman Margaret Simmons passed away unexpectedly on June 14th. Her family has shared funeral arrangements for June 25th at 9:30 am at Joseph Potts, Blantyre, followed by internment at Priestfield Cemetery in High Blantyre, and a gathering at the Blantyre Miners Welfare.
