Repairs on the Newhousemill Road Bridge have been completed ahead of schedule, allowing it to reopen this week. The parapet repairs were necessitated by a recent vehicle accident. Known as the ‘Wee Bridge,’ it often experiences collisions due to its narrow width and requires further upgrades.
Essential resurfacing works will affect Newhousemill Road in Hamilton starting January 27, closing the road from Muttonhole Road to Lismore until January 31. While general traffic will be restricted, access for residents and businesses will be maintained as much as possible. A diversion route is established, and delays may occur.
