Primary 1 registration starts on 5 January 2026 for children beginning school. Parents must have their child’s full birth certificate ready for the process. If a new copy is needed, order it by Friday, 5 December to ensure timely delivery.
Schools in South Lanarkshire will be closed tomorrow, Monday 10th November, for an in-service day. The next break will be the Christmas holiday, beginning at 2.30pm on Friday 19th December, when schools will close for the holiday season.

Online registration is now available for children who will turn 5 between March 1, 2025, and February 28, 2026, in preparation for starting school in August. Parents and carers must complete the online enrollment form. The designated catchment school will follow up regarding the application.
