The UK plans to introduce a generational tobacco ban, prohibiting those born after 2008 from smoking, aiming for a smoke-free population within a generation. Pending Royal assent, the legislation will also restrict vaping around children and in certain public spaces, as smoking continues to contribute to around 80,000 annual deaths.
