WANTED : Custard Pie Throwers!
Strange headline, but yes you read it right. As part of Blantyre Gala Day The National Autistic Society are hosting a summer ‘fun in the sun’ event in aid of South Lanarkshire NAS.
During the gala day on 27th June, at David Livingstone Centre, they are staging a custard pie throwing contest and are looking for teams of 4 to register as participants. Entry costs £10 per team and they are encouraging creative pie related team names and of course fancy dress is encouraged! Prizes for the winning team! Have you got what it takes to be the champions? Blantyre Gala day starts at 11am on Saturday 27th June, commencing at the Blantyre Miners Welfare where a huge Summer Colours Parade will walk down to the David Livingstone Centre, where the licensed gala will be held. The Parade and gala day are FREE to enter. All children attending the parade will be given balloons, streamers and flags.
