The Morrison’s Foundation donated over a fantastic £18,000 to Kilbryde Hospice on Friday 26th June, David Gardner, Morrison’s Managing Director for Scotland handed the cheque over to Kilbryde Hospice Chief Executive Gordon McHugh and Chairman Dennis Gallagher. The donation, which was secured following an application by the hospice, will be used to expand their weekly Music Therapy classes and Exercise classes.
The Morrison’s Foundation was established last year to provide financial support to registered charities across the United Kingdom. In Scotland, the Foundation is responsible for ensuring the proceeds of the Single Carrier Bag Charge (Scotland) are donated to Scottish charities.
David Gardner said:
“I’m delighted the Morrison’s Foundation is making this donation to the Kilbryde Hospice. Morrison’s was proud to be one of the first donors to the Hospice when it was first proposed over a decade ago. Now the Hospice is open, and making a difference to the lives of people in South Lanarkshire, it’s great Morrison’s is again able to support their work.”
Dennis Gallagher, Chairman of Kilbryde Hospice said
“I would like to thank The Morrison’s Foundation for this very generous donation to the Hospice. Your support will help us to deliver the highest quality of care, and your donation can help us ensure we continue to deliver our vital services. The aim of the service is to maximise the patients’ quality of life and maintain their independence. We hope that the Morrison’s Foundation will continue their support of the Hospice in the future.”
