News this week arrived of a partially approved expansion of Blantyre. The former Craighead retreat area, just off Whistleberry Road and the A725 East Kilbride Expressway, Low Blantyre, will soon see the construction of 300 new homes.
The site has been vacant for some 13 years and been subject to various discussions and proposed changes of use over that time. Craighead Properties are the developers and their plans include homes including split level townhouses, family villas and semi and detached family houses.
